Raymond E. Segura

Nevada Rancher - Master Welder - Craftsman

Born in 1954 to a proud Spanish Basque ranching family, Raymond E. Segura was raised on the wide-open lands of the Segura Ranch in Nevada. From the time he was old enough to walk, he was learning the value of early mornings, honest work, and the responsibility that comes with caring for land, livestock, and family legacy.

Life on the ranch shaped him. It taught him that a man’s word matters, fences don’t fix themselves, and when something breaks, you repair it right the first time. Those lessons never left him.

Raymond attended Churchill County High School, carrying with him the strong work ethic instilled at home. After graduation, he built a life defined by skilled hands and steady determination. He worked as a carpenter, helping frame homes and structures across Nevada. He continued ranching, maintaining deep ties to the agricultural way of life that raised him. And in time, he mastered a trade that would become one of his greatest callings — welding.

A Certified Master Welder with expertise in stainless steel and TIG welding, Raymond became known for precision, strength, and craftsmanship. Whether repairing ranch equipment or fabricating custom metal work, he approached every project with pride. His welds are clean, strong, and built to last — much like the man himself.

But beyond the trades and titles, Raymond is a family man. A devoted father of two sons, he passed down not just skills, but values — integrity, resilience, and the understanding that hard work is something to be proud of.

In his community, Raymond is known as someone who shows up. If a neighbor needs help, he’s there. If a job needs doing, he does it. No spotlight required. Just steady, dependable character.

Rooted in Basque heritage and Nevada soil, Raymond E. Segura represents a generation that built with their hands, stood by their word, and never backed down from honest labor. His life tells the story of the American West — strong, skilled, loyal, and end
